Silence and Solitude

Oh, I mentioned A Time To Keep Silence. One section resonated with me. The author has settled in at a monastery for a two-week stay and is seated at a small desk in his cell. "I had asked for quiet and solitude and peace, and here it was; all I had to do now was to write. But an hour passed, and nothing happened." I get that too.

I've always wanted to take a week-long vow of silence at the Encinitas retreat that was established by Paramahansa Yogananda. Yoga, meditation, contemplation and writing all day... That really appeals to me.
