David Sirota's article about cheap food is like a very short version of, say, Fast Food Nation.

It is a serious bummer that good, fresh food is more expensive than crap. The few times each year I think to hit the farmer's market in Durham, I come away pleased with my bags of leafy green deliciousness, and shocked at how much cash I had to drop to get them.
