Books

While the writing style in Haroun and the Sea of Stories is distractingly flowery and "grand" in a kind of fake way, I'm plowing ahead because something's telling me it might turn into an engaging story. Unfortunately, my "something's telling me" is accurate only about 46% of the time.

Following that comes 2009's Best American Essays, a gift from Mom, and then The Classic Fairy Tales, sent to me by my California uncle.

I just read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and think you would like it. It's a mystery, if you do mysteries.

I was just looking at the picture in the sidebar and I can't believe how big your beautiful daughters are getting. I'm going all verklempt here because I've been able to watch them grow up over the years that we've been blogging buddies.

Happy, happy new year, Bob, and many continued blessings to your family!

Thanks, Steph! Very sweet. They are getting bigger--it is amazing.

Be well in 2010. I'm glad we "met" all those years ago.
